Titbits from Bangkok

With the limited time that I have, I just shop around Paragon to look for titbits to bring back home. The price here is of course more expensive, but since I have limited time, its a good choice. The snacks turns out to be quite good too.

Durian chips. Fresh durian is better. However this snack is suitable for those who scare the strong smell of durian.

Another version of Thai dodol (this dessert is made from coconut milk and sugar. It needs to be stirred for few hours to become this delicacies). Its sweet and dry because the moisture is suck by the bamboo which wrap the delicacy.

Porntip pork spicy meat floss. The taste is amazing good.

This is even better. Porntip Crispy pork slices. The crispness is out of this world. If you don't know this item and don't think about fat, you sure will love it!

One Night in Bangkok, Thailand

Since I went to Bangkok only for one night, I don't really explore much about the city. There is much I heard about Bangkok on its culture, food & cheap stuff. I really respect the success and ability of Bangkok to attract millions of foreign tourists each year to their country. The city is famous for its freedom on culture and don't have much restriction on what the people wear or the artists who wanted to perform in their country. Besides that the street stall is amazing with variety of weird food and food that can't be found in Malaysia. The high end shopping complex also not bad with its large area and comfortable to walk around.

From my hotel, I took MRT to the Siam station which have all the major shopping complexes. The MRT service here is quite good and punctual. In the photo is the MBK, shopping which sells cheaper items, clothing and technology related stuff.

Thai crepe. Quite good. You can get this in MBK.

Fried noodle. Pad Thai with prawn. Ate at Siam Paragon food court. Cost 75 Baht.

Beef noodle at the same place.

Siam Paragon.

Absolute Vodka ads.

Siam Paragon.

Famous small temple (Thao Maha Brahma).

The temple status from near.

Bangkok taxi. All Toyota Vios.

Toll booth.

The airport is full of statues. Time to go home.

Malaysia Airlines Food Onboard on Business Class-Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur

Coming back from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur via business class do provide the certain degree of comfort with a larger seat. The selection of cocktail is also another plus point. Of course the service level on business class is higher as people will expect more from the cabin crew.

Taste:8/10(The green curry chicken is good but the dessert is not well blend with the menu. The salad is good but the onion taste is a bit overpower).

Business class seating arrangement.

Selection of meal. Good.

Bloody Mary cocktail.

Business class dinner set.

Green curry chicken rice with vegetables.

Chicken with mixed bell pepper salad.

Egg custard Thai style. The taste does not suit me.

Malaysia Airlines Food Onboard on Economy Class-Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok

This time I have the opportunity to get on board the new Malaysia Airlines Boeing 738 plane to Bangkok. I would say the interior of the place is more lively compared to the old plane and new leather seat. However, I feel that the seat pitch is slightly smaller compared to the old plane. The seat colour is nice. During the journey to Bangkok, I have one meal onboard. Their main course is the fried rice with beef satay.

Taste:8/10(Good. The good generally are good and delicious. Specially comment on their fruit cake which I think is above my standard).

The beef satay is good.

My food portion. It comes with fried rice with beef satay, Cadbury Gold, fruit cake, fruit juice & wine.

In flight entertainment system.

Scenery approaching Survanabhumi Airport.

Road scenic photo.

Finally touch down to Survanabhumi Airport in Bangkok.

Aircraft from Israel which we will never see to land in KLIA.

Inside the airport. Its a busy airport. Thailand is very successful in attracting foreign tourist to their country.
Amazed!

Centre Point Wireless Road Service Apartment @ Bangkok

Centre Point Hotel in Wireless Road Service Apartment is suitable for business executive to stay as it is near to the department stores, embassies, banks and the business area of Bangkok. Even the nearest MRT Ploen Chit station is just 5 minutes walk away. The studio room type that I stay is quite huge and even with a mini kitchen attached. The room is clean and comes with large LCD TV, bath tub & a balcony. This is a highly recommended hotel for those who want convenience, near to the city centre & the pricing is around USD90 per night.

I had a chance for a breakfast there and it is good.
Breakfast rating:8/10(Good. Many choices from Thai, Chinese & Continental breakfast).

View from my hotel room.

A chair outside. In this hot weather of Bangkok, you probably don't want to sit there unless you come from icy countries.

Nice & comfortable bed.

A mini kitchen.

Selection of continental breakfast items (pancake, buns, macaron & croissant).

We have pasta, dim sum, ham and vegetables here.

Beacon and sausages.

Fried meehoon(rice noodles), pork buns & macaron.

Looks like I don't like the taste of macaron.

Coffee Beans By Dao @ Bangkok

Coffee Beans By Dao is my first real taste of Bangkok food. The food here is good and the variety is extensive and even you can have plenty of choices of dessert after your meal. For the drink, I ordered the weird drink of banana hot chocolate. The drink turn out to be good and I like it. The food is prepared in a special way such as pamelo salad which I can't find it in Malaysia. Their deep fried fish cake is also good. The spiciness of their tom yam kung is up to my standard and their green curry is full of coconut milk flavour with the use of kaffir lime leaves.

Taste:9/10(Delicious. The menu is extensive and the way food are prepared is special. The food are good. Simply like their drink, cake, tom yam & green curry).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. By Bangkok standard, this restaurant is considered as on the upper side).

This is how the restaurant look like.

The meal in clockwise: Crispy morning glory salad, pamelo salad, stir fry mixed vegetable with oyster sauce, deep fried fish cake, tom yam kung and green curry.

Cheese cake. So creamy!

Arnott's Full O'Fruit

You can get Arnott's products in every major supermarkets such as Mercato, Jaya Grocer or Cold Storage. Their biscuit is good in terms of the ingredient that they used. If you compared with the Indonesian Arnott's with Australian Arnott's biscuit, you can really tell the difference.

Taste:8/10(Delicious. I like this biscuit as it contains a lot of dried fruits in there. Besides sultanas, it also have orange peel & lemon peel which add the extra punch in this biscuit. Anyway, it claims to have 55% real fruit).
Price:4/10(Near expensive. The 250 gramme biscuit cost MYR14.99).

This is how Full O'Fruit look like if you intended to try.
