Kam Heong Stewed Duck @ PJ New Town

According to my friend, this place has around 20 years of history selling stewed duck rice. They are quite famous for their duck rice. Actually, I can't even think of any place selling stewed duck. Finding this place is quite easy if you know how to find the MBPJ building. If you can't find this restaurant, all you need to do is just walk around the MBPJ building. The shop is just located in front of the building. Address: 8, Jalan Tengah, Off Jalan Yong Shook Lin, Petaling Jaya. It opens around 5pm and it is good place to have your dinner.

Taste:9/10(The salted vegetable is absolutely good. Stewed pork leg & pork large intestine is flavourful, juicy & tender. The duck meat is a bit hard and the flavour is not strong enough but it is still good).
Price:7/10(Moderate. Price wise is quite reasonable. Two duck drumstick, a plate of salted vegetable, 2 stewed eggs & drinks priced at RM16).

Non-halal.

Wow, the rice is so fragrant & nice.

For me, this is the best salted vegetable I tasted so far. Not healthy though as it use a lot of lard.

Famous Rojak @ SS15 Subang Jaya

This rojak stall claimed to be the best in Subang Jaya and it is usually full of people queuing up to buy the rojak. Need to be patient as there are more than 15 people lining infront of you if you intend to have some. You can see that there are people in a row enjoying their cendol/vadai at the ledge of the road while eating your spicy Indian rojak. There are cendol & vadai stall beside this famous rojak stall. Be sure to try the cendol and vadai as well as it tasted good.

Taste:7/10(Moderate. The taste is above average with lots of mixed item but I think that their peanut gravy not flavourful enough and a bit watery).
Price:8/10(Cheap. The portion is quite big with squid, egg, bean sprout, cucumber, fried bean curd & crispy fried crackers priced at RM3.80. You may refer to the photo below).

Halal.

The lorry stall is just at the road side infront of SS15 KFC and Hassan mamak restaurant.

Emborg blue cheese

According to Wikipedia, blue cheese is a general classification of cow's milk, sheep's milk, or goat's milk cheeses that has had Penicillium cultures added so that the final product is spotted or veined throughout with blue, blue-gray or blue-green mold, and carries a distinct smell.

The cheese does indeed smell horrible but when put into mouth, it tasted great and once you try it, you won't like other cheese anymore(that's me):-). The flavour is sharp and comparable to stinky tofu.

Taste:9/10(Strong pungent smell & sharp taste which is suitable for bread or it is on its own!).
Price:6/10(Moderate. I get this from Jusco at RM6.20 during promotion).

Yummy blue cheese.

Look at the mould.

The Ship set lunch @ Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur

The Ship - "The Best Steak In Town" is their tagline. The restaurant is well served under a unique decorative setting and on top of that all prices are value for money. The unique exterior of our restaurants resemble an almost life-size hull of a ship, and on stepping inside one will be impressed with the timely recreated likeness of a sea-going vessel.

Complementing the theme is service provided by captains and crews in maritime uniform. I went there for a lunch with Qing Ying and I found their set lunch is reasonable priced.

Taste:8/10(Good. The kong po chicken is well prepared and the fish fillet is soft without strong fishy taste. The cucumber salad which comes with the kong po chicken is properly marinated and taste different).
Price:6/10(Moderate-this only appeal on their set lunch. Cost higher if order steak or other sets. The three course meal is priced at RM13.90++. The portion is big and can make you full. The set lunch comes with bread & butter, starter, main course, dessert & drink. The dessert of that day is water melon.).
